U.S. Top Market for Argentine Biodiesel Now that the EU has imposed anti-dumping duties on imports of Argentine biodiesel, exporters have shifted their focus to the U.S. market. Oil World predicts that two-thirds of Argentina's biodiesel exports in the last four months of 2013 will be shipped to the U.S. That suggests as much as 270,000 MT (~80 million gallons) of Argentine biodiesel may be exported to the U.S. in September-December of this year.A report from NABSA, the Argentine shipping agency, yesterday confirmed the large exports of biodiesel to the U.S. and indicated six ships waiting to load for shipment there in November. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
