Brazil Declares Emergency over Caterpillar Infestation in Soybeans Soybean farmers in the Brazilian states of Bahia and Mato Grosso are suffering big losses to their crops caused by a widespread infestation of Helicoverpa caterpillars. These are the same as, or very similar to, the cotton bollworms.
