It now appears Indian soy industry officials agree that India's 2013 soybean crop will not be anywhere near as large as the 12–13 MMT that some in India were forecasting earlier this year. China Imported 6.03 MMT of Soybeans in November China's General Administration of Customs indicated yesterday that China's soybean imports in November totaled 6.03 MMT. Of that amount, 3.55 MMT were imported from the U.S, 1.378 MMT from Brazil, 770,469 MT from Argentina and 279,734 MT from Uruguay. Imports from Canada totaled 40,998 MT. China imported 55.97 MMT of soybeans during the first 11 months of CY 2013, an increase of 6.63 percent over the same period of 2012. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
