Pakistan has traditionally sourced most of its soymeal from India and more recently from Argentina. A combination of factors has now caused Pakistani buyers to apparently decide that they will need to purchase U.S. stocks in order to assure themselves of the supply needed. Pakistan Purchasing U.S. Soymeal A combination of uncertainty about the size and quality of India's 2014 soybean crop and expectations of a huge U.S. soybean crop has led soymeal importers in Pakistan to purchase at least 1 cargo of U.S. soymeal. The volume is about 40,000 MT and reportedly was purchased this week for shipment in December.
