USDA Reports Indicate Record U.S. Soy Yields, Higher Stocks, and Lower Prices Today’s USDA crop production report raised the estimate for the average U.S. soybean yield in 2015 by 1.1 bushels/acre to a record high of 48.3 bushels/acre (3.25 MT/hectare). While the market was largely expecting an increase it was not expecting such a large increase. Forecasting developments in production agriculture
On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
