One of the advantages Argentina has had in the last year in exporting soybeans, soy products and other agricultural commodities has been its weak currency. However, this has been changing. Large Soybean Export Sales Today’s USDA export sales report indicated last week was busy with sales of soybeans for shipment in the current and next marketing years. It noted the total for 2015/16 shipment was 758,500 MT, up 98 percent from the past four-week average. The sales were mainly to unknown destinations (573,900 MT), Iran (120,000 MT), Indonesia (47,600 MT) and Japan (12,100 MT).
