Argentine Rains Disappoint The rains that fell last Friday and Saturday in Argentina were far too little and not widespread enough to help the soybean crop, occurring mostly in the northern provinces that did not need precipitation. The driest areas are in the provinces of Buenos Aires and La Pampa as well as in southern Cordoba and Santa Fe, but they received very insignificant amounts. It was also very hot there last week, although temperatures are much cooler this week. However, they are expected to rise in the next 10 days with very little rainfall in the forecast.
