China Sells Reserve Soybeans China’s National Grain Trade Center today announced the government sold 192,324 MT of reserve stock soybeans at auction. They were sold at 3,043 yuan/MT ($476/MT), only 1.4 percent above the minimum sales price of 3,000 yuan/MT. The volume sold was approximately just 60 percent of the soybeans offered, which were produced in 2012 and 2013. More will be offered for sale in auctions over the coming weeks. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
