Russian Meat Producer to Build Soybean Crush Plant Russia’s largest meat producer, Cherkizovo, has announced its plans to build a large soybean crushing plant in the Eletsprom special economy zone (Lipetsk Oblast) in the European part of the country south of Moscow.. It indicated daily capacity will be 1,500 MT, and construction is to begin in 2019 with completion by the end of 2020. A spokesperson for the company noted that the purpose of this facility is to lower the cost of soymeal used in its poultry and swine feeds. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
