Soy Export Sales Highlights Today’s USDA export sales report was positive for soybeans, but not so much for soymeal and soyoil. Maybe China’s stepped up buying of U.S. soy will result in large sales in coming weeks. Net soybean export sales in the week ending 7 May totaled 655,500 MT for shipment in 2019/20 and 440,000 MT for shipment in 2020/21. The top sales for 2019/20 were for China (274,900 MT), Egypt (111,600 MT), the Netherlands (68,400 MT), Italy (48,600 MT), and Indonesia (45,500 MT). Infrastructure investment due diligence
On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
