Soybean Pressures Global oilseed supplies are tight and under further threat. More dry heat is coming to the U.S. Midwest and if it persists into August, the soybean crop is at risk. India’s monsoon has been spotty, causing soybean planting to be 22 percent behind last year’s sowing rate. Conab just lowered Brazil’s crop production estimate by 0.2 percent to 124.048 MMT. Canada is planting 4.7 percent fewer acres of soybeans due to dryness.
