Planned Website Downtime Wednesday, 16 October

WPI is completing a series of upgrades to our website that will require about 50 minutes of downtime on Wednesday, 16 October starting at 12:00 PM EDT. There is never a “good” time for a website to be down, but this was deemed to be among the least disruptive to our U.S. and international clients. During this period, you will see error messages when trying to access our site. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve your experience on our site. Thank you for your continued business!...

Forecasting developments in production agriculture

On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt. WPI’s model has subsequently provided quantitative support to a multi-million-dollar investment into short-season corn variety development. WPI’s methodology included a series of interviews with regional grain elevators and seed consultants. Emphasizing outreach and communication with stakeholders who possess intimate sectoral knowledge – on-the-ground insights – is a regular component of WPI’s methodologies, made possible by WPI’s ever-growing network of industry contacts.
