Power Cords and Mustard Concerned about electronic waste and abuse of consumers, the EU has been pushing for the industry to establish a single power charging cord to be used by mobile devices from all manufacturers. At least one manufacturer, Apple, is pushing back by saying it will harm innovation. The issue reminds one of a visit many years ago to the U.S. by the agriculture minister from the Soviet Union. The minister was shown a modern western grocery store with its 50,000 different products. Infrastructure investment due diligence
On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
