A new study in the Annals of Internal Medicine concludes that there is no reason for adults to reduce current levels of unprocessed red meat and process meat consumption. The news is obviously good for the beef, pork, and poultry industries (and, I guess, the lamb industry too, to the benefit of all 27 U.S. sheep farms) but it is causing outrage among scientists and nutritionists.
