Meanwhile, the weather in southern Russia is far from perfect as temperatures have risen to levels above 30°C, and the 14-day forecast is calling for precipitation that is much below the normal seasonal level. Analysts are cutting their crop estimates based on the adverse weather, and 80 MMT seems a rather optimistic number versus the 72 MMT harvested last year.
