The North Dakota State University (NDSU) extension service recently released its initial crop budget worksheets for 2018. It breaks the state of North Dakota down by regions for some obvious reasons as land costs, production capabilities, etc. differ greatly across the state. These crop budget worksheets represent averages or expectations from the various regions. There can (and certainly will be) some big differences between actual individual results and those contained in the budget projections.
