U.S. – Brazil Dialogue The 22nd Plenary of the U.S. – Brazil Commercial Dialogue will be held in September to discuss reducing non-tariff barriers. However, some of the larger issues between the two countries should include tariffs and foreign policy. Brazil maintains an 18 percent tariff on ethanol from the U.S. at the same time Washington allows Brazilian ethanol to enter duty free. For the U.S. industry, this is a gross inequity.
