USDA’s outlook for 2025/26 U.S. corn is for record supplies to create higher ending stocks. The corn crop is projected at 15.8 billion bushels, up 6 percent from a year ago due to increases in both area and yield. Planted area is estimated to be 95.3 million acres and yield is projected to average 181.0 bushels per acre.  U.S. corn used in ethanol is unchanged from a year ago at 5.5 billion bushels. Feed and residual use is increased to 5.9 billion bushels on larger supplies and lower prices. U.S. corn exports for 2025/26 are forecast up from a year ago to 2.7 billion bushels.
