World Perspectives, Inc. welcomes Steve Wolf as Director of Commodity Intelligence.
Steve brings a broad range of agribusiness, commodity market, and consulting experience to WPI from previous roles at Tyson Foods and Informa Economics (now part of S&P Global).
Steve most recently spent three years at Tyson Foods in Springdale, Arkansas, where he wrote daily commodity market commentary and developed grain balance sheet forecasts supporting the company’s commodity risk management strategy. His work also honed his expertise with livestock and energy markets while providing market intelligence to a wide internal audience.
Prior to his time at Tyson Foods, Steve spent six years with Informa Economics in Memphis, Tennessee. There, he developed expertise across several areas of agriculture, including biofuels, grains, oilseeds, international trade, and agricultural policy. Projects he led or supported include grain origination networks, oilseed crushing, alternative proteins, vertical farming, facility site selection, and broader agricultural market analysis.
Steve’s professional background has provided him with hands-on insight into the market forces influencing agribusiness firms, trade organizations, and government agencies. He is particularly known for his ability to simplify complex agricultural and macroeconomic topics into clear, digestible analysis supported by concise writing and charts. He is also an experienced teacher and served as the primary instructor for a 70-student undergraduate agricultural marketing class at Illinois State University.
In addition to his industry experience, Steve has a strong academic background. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Communication from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science degree in Agribusiness from Illinois State University.
Originally from South Africa, Steve later moved to the Chicago area before attending LSU. He currently resides in Northwest Arkansas and is a passionate sports enthusiast, especially when cheering on the LSU Tigers.
WPI is excited to welcome Steve to the team and looks forward to the expertise and market insight he will bring to the firm’s global commodity intelligence coverage.
