Thus, it seems awkward that at the COP26 meeting in Glasgow this week that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced it would allocate $315 million to support smallholder farms as they adapt to climate change. If smallholder farms are the climate solution, why not spend the money converting large farms into several small ones?
