High Protein Meal Prices Protein meal prices in India have increased significantly in the last year (even month-to-month), as has demand for protein meal in livestock feeds.One main ingredient for poultry feed is soymeal, the prices of which are up more than 9 percent against last month and up nearly 27 percent against last year. The increased prices have affected the usage of soymeal in broilers and layers, and manufacturers have shifted to using other protein meals like rapeseed/mustard.
