For the past two-and-a-half years, there has been a heated policy debate about plant-based dairy alternatives such as soymilk and yogurt and meat alternatives, such as plant-based meat and cell cultured meat. Topics include what the products can be called in the stream of commerce, to how cell cultured meat would be regulated and by which agency (the Food and Drug Administration or the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service).
