ADM announced yesterday that it plans to add capacity at its rapeseed crushing plant in Straubing, Germany to process non-GM soybeans predominately sourced in the Danube River basin. Cargill to Expand Wichita Soy Crush Plant Cargill announced this week that it plans to expand the capacity of its soybean crushing facility in Wichita, Kansas by 30 percent at an expected cost of $50 million. This is projected to be completed in 2017. The company recently spent $10 million to enlarge capacity at its adjacent oil dressing refining plant. Cargill’s Wichita crushing facility is well located to receive soybeans from growers in central and western Kansas, eastern Colorado, Oklahoma, and the upper Texas Panhandle.
