UN Food Summit When the first biannual UN Food Summit occurred back in 2021, it was a hotly competed policy platform between agribusiness and the social activist community. The latter sees the current system as deeply flawed and sought to dismantle the corporate/scale/trade side of the sector. In the end, the UN’s report was fairly muted and life resumed as before. It is the UN after all and lacks any governing real power.  Late next month there will be a follow up meeting in what is being termed a stocktaking session.
